ISTOKPOGA MARSH WATERSHED IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT adopted on June 17, 1980, to acquire real & personal property; adopt plans for flood & erosion control; reclamation of overflowed or eroded lands; to clear, excavate, drain and irrigate lands within the district; acquire, construct and maintain public roads; removal of nuisances; and for such other purposes as may be appropriate within such district.
Established by Highlands County Board of County Commissioners under Chapter 125, Florida Statutes – County Government and operates under, Chapter 189, Florida Statutes – Uniform Special District Accountability Act; – Tax Collections, Sales, and Liens.
The Assessment is $4.00 per Acre or fraction thereof with expected revenue of $74,956.00 for FY 2018-2019
