The Highlands County Extensions Service is a joint cooperative program of the USDA, University of Florida , and the Highlands County Board of County Commissioners cooperating.
The Highlands County Cooperative Extension Service is located in the Bert J. Harris , Jr. Agricultural Center at 4509 George Boulevard , Sebring , Florida .

The Extension Programs include: 
            Agriculture - Citrus Production, Livestock and Forage Production, and Commercial Ornamental Plant Production

            Urban Horticulture – including the Master Gardener Program consisting of University of     Florida trained volunteers who provide homeowners information about care of plants and grasses in their yards.

            4-H Youth Development – a youth organization open to all youth in Highlands      County ages 8 – 18.

The Highlands County Extension Office is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Master Gardeners are available for consultation from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
